The family culture at Dorner provides support and flexibility at the same time. Team leader Mathias Popiel has developed very quickly as a result and is also able to play an active role in looking after his daughters.
As a trained electrical engineer, I was given the opportunity to start in electrical planning at Dorner in 2016. After a comprehensive and successful induction programme, I was able to develop professionally and personally in this area and only two years later, I moved on to Application Engineering for dornerBatch. I was given a lot of trust there and was initially able to grow into the role of team leader of a small team before I was allowed to take over full team leadership in 2021.
Exciting development opportunities
My career path at Dorner has always been characterised by great trust and plenty of room for manoeuvre. The company was very responsive to me, my talents and potential were recognised and I was given individual support. I still have the great opportunity to take part in exciting development programmes and the company is extremely supportive.
I also particularly appreciate the very high level of flexibility that the company offers. Every day I realise how important everyone is and how willing the company is to respond to the different needs of its employees. The flat hierarchy and the associated short communication channels as well as the partnership-based, respectful interaction with each other are unique for me.
Management role and childcare
The above-average flexibility also allows me to help look after my two daughters and fulfil the role of team leader at the same time. To this day, I am proud to be part of the Dorner crew and to make my contribution to the big picture.
