Flex work

My work-life balance

Flexibility, appreciation, internationality: these are just a few of the many advantages that prompted Mareen from Coburg to emigrate from Germany to Austria. For almost a year now, the 34-year-old has been working as a technical writer at Dorner. Outside of work, she also appreciates the Bregenzerwald and its lifestyle.

Monday in the office, Tuesday in the home office and in the afternoon in the mountains – flexibility is not just a word at Dorner, it's a way of life. Both in terms of working hours and location, as well as in the processes themselves, which I can actively help to shape. Not only are my ideas taken seriously, but I am also valued personally as an employee and as a person. You notice this in the daily, open communication, but also in the shared lunch breaks, at the get-together after work or at company parties.

Likable informal culture
With over 100 employees worldwide, Dorner doesn't have to hide behind the big companies, but it doesn't lose itself in anonymity either. People still know each other and are on first-name terms with everyone, and that internationally. I always enjoy working with people from all over the world on international projects and being able to use my language skills.

Working where others go on holiday
In short: I simply enjoy coming to work, whether on foot, by bike or by public transport, and I have no regrets about moving from Germany to Vorarlberg. As taking holidays or time off at short notice is no problem, I can fully enjoy the Bregenzerwald, Dorner's home. You can feel the hard work and positive team spirit both here in the region and in the company – and I am happy every day to be able to make a real difference as part of such a friendly Bregenzerwald family business!
